Chavez is fascinated by moving characters on the small screen. As a kid growing up in Pittsburgh, he would sit next to the television and watch animated movies and cartoon series for hours on end. At an early age, he would constantly doodle cartoon characters on notebook paper, which piqued his interest in making things move on the computer.

After high school, Chavez attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Animation and Visual Effects, where the main focus is CG animation.

In 2021, he attended and graduated from the Animation Mentor Online School with a certificate in Character Animation starting from the basics, and ending with Feature Animation Acting and Polish. He currently helps upcoming students of the same program to improve their animation skills, and gives in-depth feedback and notes on promising shot scenes.

When he is not working on animation, he enjoys traveling across the world, taking his pets on long walks along the park trails and to watch them bark at a tree branch for 5 minutes, going fishing with family, watching movies, and exercising to 80s music at the local gym.
